I find it interesting that the greats of the audiobook world don't really have over the top characterizations, such as yourself and the great Frank Muller. And then we have the opposite end of the spectrum like Jim Dale doing the Harry Potter books, where every character sounds completely different. Great post, Scott. Also kinda incredible that authors would even be considering things like that while writing the book. We really are a MULTI-media society. I still have this mental image of writers being these pastey tortured souls that never see the sun, and all still use old fashioned typewriters. I kinda forget they might have plans for their work beyond the printed paper page. That’s really funny.
